NPP’s Election Petition book launch postponed

The organisers of the launch of the book, “The Election Petition: Restoring Justice and Democracy for Peace” have postponed the event indefinitely.

The book was scheduled to be launched on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 6pm at the British Council, Accra.

However, a statement from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) secretariat noted that a new date will be communicated to the public.

“The organizers do apologise sincerely for any inconvenience this might have caused to invited guests and the general public,” it said.

The book, which is a 200-page “comprehensive” compilation of documents, articles and pictures bordering on the election petition, was edited by Ken Ofori-Atta, William Oppong Bio, Boakye Agyarko and Kwasi Busia.

“This book will be a landmark in the spirit of the “Stolen Verdict” published by Nana Akufo-Addo et al after the 1992 elections,” a statement from NPP on Thursday said.
