NPP’s contribution in Adansi South must bring victory

New Edubiase (Ash), June 9, GNA – Mr De-Graft Kyei-Baffour, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for New Edubiase, on Monday said the party’s contribution to Adansi South Constituency, was enough for it to be given the mandate in the December elections. He said in spite of the Constituency being a stronghold of the NDC, government has not discriminated against the area in terms of execution of development projects to improve the standard of living of the people.

Mr Kyei-Baffour said this when he presented four sets of streetlight bulbs worth GH¢1,000 to five communities at New Edubiase at the weekend following an appeal the communities made to him. The communities are New Edubiase, Adansi-Swedru, Tonkwai Number Two, Bronikrom and Menang.

“Over the last couple of years the NPP had provided potable water, good roads, school blocks, electricity among others”, he said stressing that, the only way residents of the area could show appreciation was to vote massively for the Party to enable it continue with the good works.

Mr Kyei-Baffour promised to explore avenues to improve on the total well-being of the electorate when given the mandate and added that, the time had come for residents to endeavour to make an informed decision come December.

Mr Kyei-Baffour announced that through his initiative, the Metro Mass Transport now ply Akim-Oda to Kumasi through Subriso, Tonkwasi, Akutreso to New Edubiase before enroute to Kumasi to help ease transportation difficulties facing the people in the area. Nana Thomas Mensah, the Constituency chairman, was optimistic that, the New Edubiase seat, which had eluded the NPP since 1992 would be theirs judging from the numerous developments and programmes the NPP had initiated in the area. He said the party’s leadership would be vigilant in the area to free and fair polls. Other areas, the Parliamentary candidate toured were: Adansi-Hwidiem, Bepoase, Kwame Adu, Fahiakobo, Nsata-Aboabo and Nsata-Amangoase.
