NPP Youth Wing advises political opponents not to insult the Executive

Sekondi, October 10, GNA- The leadership of the Youth Wing of the Sekondi Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Friday called on Mr Alex Asamoah, the Western Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stop insulting President John Agyekum Kufuor.

Addressing a press conference in Sekondi, Mr James Obeng, the constituency secretary, said Mr Asamoah’s frequent fury against the President on radio stations is bringing his reputation into disrepute. He said the “unsavoury remarks Mr Asamoah makes on the air are unsubstantiated.

Mr Obeng cited Mr Asamoah’s recent accusation against the President to the effect that the President was unable to appear on a scheduled Voice of America Television programme.

He said Mr Asamoah used the falsehood to divert the attention of Ghanaians from the real achievements of the President during his tour of the United States and Japan

Journalists who attended the press conference called on political parties not to use abusive and provocative language against their opponents as the press is also blamed when these are reported.
