Sunyani (B/A) Jan. 31, GNA – The Brong-Ahafo Regional youth wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday sent a congratulatory message to President J.A. Kufuor for his successful one-term as Chairman of ECOWAS and on his recent election as Chairman of the African Union (AU).
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr. Alfred Ofori Annye, Regional Youth Organiser on behalf of all the Youth organizers in the constituencies in the region and made available to the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani.
The wing noted that the President had ascended to the new position “by dint of hard work, self-discipline, respect, good governance and determination.
“You denied yourself of many opportunities that came your way and committed your entire being to Ghana and Africa at large and have become a shinning star among your contemporaries”, it stated. The youth said they were therefore not surprised about the President’s election as the AU Chairman, an elevation that had made him 93a role model to us youth in and outside Ghana”. They prayed that God would grant President Kufuor more wisdom and strength to continue with the good works.
