NPP would not use state resources for electioneering campaigns

Agona Swedru (C/R), June 15, GNA – Captain Nkrabeah Effah-Dartey (rtd) Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, has said that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) would not use state resources to fund the Party’s electioneering campaigns. He said the Ggovernment would continue to run a transparent and efficient administration to ensure better standards of living for Ghanaians.

Captain Effah-Dartey gave the assurance at a fundraising dinner organized by the Agona East Constituency branch of the NPP at Agona Swedru.

He said the Government had put in place prudent and sound economic measures, which had attracted a number of foreign development partners. Capt Effah-Dartey said due to honest and transparent administration of the NPP, Ghanaians abroad had since 2001 remitted millions of dollars to help reconstruct the economy.

He said the economy suffered serious setbacks due to the mismanagement of its scarce resources by the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

Mr Alex Anyanful Nkansah, The Constituency Chairman, said the NPP would win in the area and called for the collaborative efforts of the supporters to achieve this objective.
