NPP wins Kade polls

Kade, Dec. 8, GNA – The incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kade, Mr Ofosu Asamoah, retained his seat when he polled 22,081 votes representing 57.94 percent of total votes cast. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Mr Emmanuel Aboagye Osae, polled 10, 229 votes, followed by Mr Ofori Ampofo of the Ghana National Party (GNP) with 3,013 votes. Nana Kwasi Ringold of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) polled 2,287 votes, with Mr Nuhu Issah of the People’s National Convention (PNC) obtaining 342 votes. In the Presidential polls the NPP polled 25,348 votes representing 67.07 percent of total votes cast. The NDC had 11,709 votes, CPP obtaining 264 votes and PNC, 102 votes.
