NPP wins 97, NDC 93 in Parliament: Official

Ghana’s opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has won 97 seats in parliament to 93 for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), the electoral commission said Sunday.
The figures contradicted radio reports described as official. Three seats were won by the People’s National Convention of Edward Mahama, one by the Convention People’s Party and four were to independent candidates.
Two seats remain to be declared.
