NPP will revive ‘collapsed’ NHIS – Former KATH CEO

The former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare has said that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) when voted into office will restore the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) which he posited is collapsing.

According to him, the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) is grappling with a number of challenges regarding its work, and the current administration cannot help resolve them hence the need for Ghanaians to vote the NPP back into office to bring back the scheme to its feet.

Dr. Nsiah Asare said, the NDC administration under President Mahama is supervising the collapse of the scheme introduced by the erstwhile Kufuor administration.

He was speaking at the campaign launch of the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Bosomstwi, Dr. Yaw Adu Twum in the Ashanti region.
