NPP wants error-riddled 2014 budget withdrawn

Kwabre East Legislator, Kofi Frimpong, is demanding the 2014 budget and fiscal policy document be withdrawn from Parliament immediately.

He argues the document is fraught with unpardonable errors which were totally avoidable.

According to him, the error-riddled document risks exposing Ghana to ridicule in diplomatic and international circles if the mistakes are not corrected.

“…The quality of the document is in serious doubt”, Mr Frimpong insisted in an interview with XYZ News’ Parliamentary Correspondent Ibrahim Alhassan Tuesday.

Justifying his position, the New Patriotic Party MP said: “You cannot produce this document, supposedly coming from the Presidency with a lot of mistakes…I’ve pointed out the mistakes that we have in the budget and we cannot entertain that. “I think that the budget must be withdrawn. I’m not saying it should be thrown out. I say it must be withdrawn and replaced with a better revised budget”.
