NPP vets four contestants for the Bosomtwe constituency

Kuntanase (Ash), May 26, GNA – Four people who filed their nominations to contest the primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bosomtwe constituency were last Thursday vetted in Kumasi. They are Mr Simon Osei Mensah, Banker; Dr William Kwasi Yeboah, Pharmacist; Mr Peter Kwasi Abebrese, Custom Officer and Mr Kwadwo Addai Boama, Travel Agent.

Conspicuously missing from the list of contestants was the incumbent, Mr Adu Gyamfi Poku, who failed to file his papers for re-election at the close of nominations.

Mr Daniel Asuo-Afram, Bosomtwe Constituency Secretary of the NPP, who made this known to the Ghana News Agency at Kuntanase on Tuesday, said all was set for the primaries awaiting the final word from the National Executive of the Party.

He cautioned the delegates, who would be voting at the primaries not to allow themselves, to be swayed by monetary gains but to vote for a candidate, who could deliver.
