NPP vets aspiring Parliamentary candidates

Koforidua, Sept. 30, GNA- The Eastern Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has vetted ten candidates who filed nominations to contest the parliamentary seats in three constituencies in the 2004 elections.

The candidates included Mr Andrews Kwasi Teye, District Chief Executive of the Manya Krobo and Mr Henry Demanarh, both vying for the Lower Manya seats.

Four candidates are contesting the Upper West Akim. They are Mr Raymond Kwame Akuffo, Mr Alex Addae Mensah, Nana Yaw Asare Koranteng and Major (rtd) Emmanuel Osei Bampoe, one time PNDC Secretary for West Akim. There were four contestants for the Fanteakwa constituency. They are, Mr Kwabena Amankwa Asiamah, Mr Kofi Okyere Agyekum, Mr Kwadwo Agyei Addo, Presiding Member of the West Akim District Assembly and Mr Kwabena Ampadu Otu-Danquah.
