NPP-USA Congratulates Nana Akufo Addo

The New Patriotic Party, USA branch congratulates Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, an indefatigable freedom fighter and a veteran politician on his election as the flag bearer of the party at the just ended NPP Congress at Legon in Accra . This is a well deserved victory. We know Nana will bring years of rich political experience to lead the party to electoral victory in 2008.

We also like to express our appreciation to Hon. Allan Kyeremateng for displaying the qualities of a good sportsman in conceding defeat graciously, and in a timely fashion, although he could have exhausted his constitutional option.

NPP- USA salutes our able chairman, Mr. Peter Mac Manu and his executives for the professional and efficient manner they organized the congress; in spite of the unfortunate incident that could have marred an otherwise smooth congress.

Our branch is proud of Mr. Boakye Agyarko and Dr. Arthur Kennedy for infusing the American “can do” attitude into Ghana ‘s political arena.

To the rest of the aspirants, we say thank you for your participation. You have made the political discourse lively, and your collective activities have energized the party at the grassroots level. The mighty elephant is awake and poised for a resounding electoral victory in 2008.

The last but not the least, we applaud the delegates who traveled from all corners of Ghana and converged in Legon to carry out a very difficult assignment successfully.

NPP- USA is ready to campaign alongside Nana Akufo Addo to win victory for the party in 2008. Together we shall move Ghana to a middle income economy with sustained economic growth and social development.

Long Live NPP, Long Live Ghana .
