NPP to contest Manya Krobo results in court

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has indicated it will contest the parliamentary results of the Lower Manya Krobo constituency in court.

According to the Eastern regional Vice chairman of the party, results of some polling stations were massaged to shoot the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) Okletey Terlarbi to retain his seat.

The NPP parliamentary candidate garnered 19,383 as against NDC candidate with 19,710.

Meanwhile, the NPP has attributed hardwork for their feat in shooting down the NDC targeted “agenda 50/50”.

In a separate development, the deputy Eastern regional Director of EC John Appiah Baffo told Ghone TV a total of 29 constituency presidential results have been certified, stamped, signed and faxed to national headquarters.

He said four constituencies such as Swedru, Achiase ,Upper West Akyem and Affram plains North are the remaining constituencies which results are yet to arrive.

He however indicated that, Upper West presidential results is being contested on the basis of over voting.
