NPP tasks Sammy Awuku to teach members to be law abiding

Deputy General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahene says the party has tasked the National Youth Organizer of the party, Sammy Awuku to warn youth groups in the country that it will not condone or support any act of vandalism.

In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive Friday, Nana Obiri Boahene mentioned that the NPP is not a violent party and they will not allow the delta force to reduce the party to that level.

According to Obiri Boahene, the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) has condemned the act and he as a lawyer gives his outmost support to them.

“Other political parties support vandalism but not the NPP; I remember I had to seek refuge under a table to avoid being lynched by a youth wing of a political party just because I wanted to seek bail for a client,” he said.

He explained that whether delta force belongs to a political party or not, their acts are unacceptable and must be condemned by all.
