NPP takes Binduri Parliamentary Seat

Bolgatanga, Dec 8, GNA – Mr Stephen Yakubu, a Building Consultant won the Binduri Constituency parliamentary seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with 9,103 votes while the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament, Mr Anthony Awuni lost with 8,357 votes. The NDC polled 11,072 votes to win the presidential elections in the constituency while the NPP had 5,987 votes. The People’s National Convention (PNC) got 278 votes for presidential and 103 votes for the parliamentary. The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) polled 153 for presidential and 120 for parliamentary.

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) and the DPP got 93 and 55 votes respectively for the presidential elections and 292 and 75 votes for the parliamentary. The Reform Democratic Party (RDP) had 33 votes for the presidential while the Independent candidate got no vote. There were 603 rejected votes from the presidential ballot and same number for the parliamentary.
