NPP supporters launched “Text 1968”

Kumasi, Oct 1, GNA – The Apostle Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Kumasi has launched a text code raffle draw to support the party’s campaign.

The Short Text Code 1968, which is associated with all the mobile networks, would help raise funds to support the party’s presidential aspirant and his running mate.

Madam Freda Darko, Director of Freko Company in Kumasi and patron of the union, said the party needed enough funds to run its campaign to win the December election.

Madam Darko commended the government for its positive policies such as the introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) that has reduced deaths.

She said due to the school feeding programme people who migrated from the northern part of the Ghana to the southern part had reduced as compared to the past years. She appealed to NPP activists and sympathizers of the party to contribute by texting to the code since it goes into the accounts of the party.

Mr. Joseph Amoah, Managing Director of Love Enterprise in Kumasi who launched the raffle, said the region was the first to launch the code and it would soon be launched in other parts of the country. He said the draw would be held in November 3 and December 15 and the first to fourth lucky winners would win deep freezer, 20-inch television, 14-inch flat screen television and DVD player. Other consolation prizes include mobile phones, irons, cassette players and gas cookers and many more. 01 Oct 08
