Accra, Dec 31, GNA- The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it is committed to pursuing policies which would guarantee good governance and prosperity for all Ghanaians.
In a New Year message signed by Mr Harona Esseku, National Chairman of the NPP on Friday, the party thanked Ghanaians most warmly for the support and encouragement given to the party in the last four years and hoped that this goodwill would be sustained in the years to come.
The message said the party used its first four-year term to put in place structures and policies aimed at uplifting the living standards and welfare of the people and these have yielded positive results to the obvious admiration of all men and women of goodwill both at home and abroad.
It said this monumental performance notwithstanding, the NPP government readily admits that there is still yet much more to be done in order to give the people the real comfort and contentment, which they richly deserve.
The message said the NPP is aware that the pace of development could be accelerated only in an atmosphere of peace and unity. It therefore urged all Ghanaians to subject their individual and partisan interests to those of mother Ghana and come on board the development train.
The party wishes the people of Ghana a very prosperous and a fulfilling New Year.
