NPP sends goodwill to Muslims on Eid

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has wished all Muslims in Ghana a happy Eid-Ul-Adha.

Eid-Ul-Adha commemorates sacrifice and remembers of Prophet Abraham and his obedience and willingness to serve God.

It is a remembrance of the fact that sacrifices and difficulties are a test of one’s faith and principles to impart lessons of courage for the believer to be more accepting of Allah’s will, as he knows best.

The NPP said in a statement signed by its acting Communications Director Perry Okudzeto that: “We hope that the celebration of sacrifice brings serenity, an atmosphere of fellow feeling and generosity among us and our communities and further helps in uniting our nation, Ghana, as we battle the current social and economic hardship”.

“It is our prayer that Allah blesses all Muslims bountifully for their commitment, prayers and sacrifices as they remain steadfast even in times of very serious challenges and the complexities of life with the hope that Allah would surely lead them to better times”, the party noted.

The NPP also congratulated all Muslims who have embarked on the sacred Hajj pilgrimage to the Holy Land this year.
