NPP Regional Chairman’s Funeral

President John Agyekum Kufuor on Tuesday urged Ghanaians to let the spirit of harmony, tolerance and respect for one another dominate the country’s body politic. “Even as we disagree with each other we should allow good reason and justice to prevail so that together we make a country in which the law rules,” he said.

President Kufuor was speaking at the 40th day funeral rites of Mr Imoro Salifu, the late Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Bawku.

He acknowledged the presence of delegates from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and other political parties, and described the situation as remarkable, saying that during his lifetime the Mr Salifu fought for freedom and respect for the other people’s rights.
