NPP polls: Accept decision of delegates – Kufuor

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has asked aspirants and their supporters in the upcoming New Patriotic Party parliamentary primaries to accept the decision of delegates.

Kufuor also asked the party to ensure that the procedure is “transparent and fair”.

“We are democrats, but the delegates have the right to choose, we must all respect the choice of the people…so we accept the outcome and we carry on,” Kufuor told Starr News’ Ibrahim Alhassan.

The NPP goes to the polls this weekend to elect parliamentary candidates for the 2016 elections.

The chairman of the party Paul Afoko has in a statement cautioned delegates to vote for parliamentary candidates who “will project the true values of the party” in this Saturday’s primaries.
