NPP polling executives to be trained

Obuasi, Aug 25, GNA- One hundred and fifteen thousand (115,000) Polling Station Executives of New Patriotic Party (NPP) would be trained in scientific campaigning strategies, to ensure the victory of the ruling Party, in Election 2004.

Mr Dan Botwe, General Secretary of the Party, who announced this at Obuasi, said the days of shouting political slogans were over. He was interacting with newsmen, after opening a three-day

Capacity Building Review Workshop, for Party Chairmen, Secretaries and Organisers drawn from the 39 constituencies in the Ashanti Region. Mr Botwe said the workshop participants would submit programmes of action for the training of five polling station executives in all the polling stations in the Region.

The General Secretary said the NPP would not exploit its majority in Parliament for parochial interests.

“We want to assure Ghanaians that we as individual members of the Party, will not use our majority in Parliament to do what will not be in the interest of the nation.”
