NPP petition is malicious and capricious – Lawyer Amekudze

Mr. Benoni Tony Amekudze has revealed on the “Ade Akye Abia” programme on Okay FM that, he had wanted to struck the NPP’s petition out because the case is frivolous, malicious and capricious.

Almost every viewer was puzzled yesterday to see Mr. Benoni Tony Amekudze on their television set, command all the cameramen to take shots of him when he stormed the Supreme Courts to draw the attention of the judges that the case filed by the petitioners challenging the legitimacy of President Mahama, smacks of violations compared to provisions of our constitution.

He prayed the court granted him ample time to demonstrate to them why he believes the Supreme Court was breaking the law by allowing the petitioners sue a sitting President and enjoin him in a suit as a respondent.

However, the Supreme Court dismissed Mr. Amekudze’s application on grounds that it was not properly laid before the court.

He personally told the court that though he hadn’t sworn an affidavit in support of his application, he signed the application since he was a lawyer.

The court gave him no ears and dismissed his case, which was unanimously supported by both counsel for the petitioners and the respondents.
