NPP: Parliamentary candidate yet to be selected for Offinso South

Accra, Sept. 15, GNA – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) said on Monday that it was yet to select its parliamentary candidate for Offinso South constituency in the Ashanti Region.

A statement signed by the party’s general secretary, Nana Ohene Ntow, said reports in the media saying that, the incumbent MP, Dr Owusu Achiaw Duah, had been acclaimed unopposed as the candidate were “misleading as they are incorrect”.

“The National Headquarters hereby sets the records straight to the effect that no extraordinary delegates’ conference of the constituency has been held to acclaim the incumbent as the parliamentary candidate.” The statement said that conference was yet to be organised and supervised by the regional headquarters of the party.
