NPP parliamentary candidate for Akwatia confident of victory

Akwatia, Aug.18, GNA – Mr K. A. Kissi, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwatia, who has been re-elected by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to contest the seat in Election 2004, has promised an electoral victory over the candidate of the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr Kissi who was speaking to newsmen at Akwatia, said he was confident of defeating the NDC parliamentary candidate and former MP for the area, Mr Baba Jamal.

” I defeated him in 2000 and will do so again this time round,” he said.

Asked why he was so confident of victory? Mr Kissi said as MP, he had won the hearts of constituents with the number of development projects he has initiated.
