NPP organizes non denominational church service

Sekondi, Aug. 17 -GNA-The Reverend George Pepra Addo, General Secretary of Religious Bodies in Western Region said God blesses and expands the resources of nations when righteous people are in power. He said the development could however be retarded if the ungodly rule and many with talents are dispersed.

Rev. Addo said these in a non-denominational service organized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to climax the 16th annual delegates congress of the party at Sekondi on Sunday.

The congress was on the theme: “we are moving forward” and was attended by over 1,500 delegates, observers and from the party’s foreign branches in Africa and European.

He said many people with skills and the financial means to assist a nation’s development will become scared and flee to a neighbouring country when the ungodly and unaccountable people assume the leadership of a nation.

“A nation can achieve its potentials and goals only if the leadership are God fearing, transparent and righteous, in its dealings with the people” he stressed.

Rev. Addo said every nation blessed by God is likely to attract both human and financial resources from other countries for development. He urged all Ghanaians to continually elect only God fearing people into power and leadership to safeguard the liberties of the people.

The Rev. Emmanuel Boamah-Agyekum, Minister in-charge of the Emmanuel Community Church led in prayers for the nation and for Nana Akufo-Addo. He urged the NPP party to organize a befitting send-off for President John Agyekum Kufuor and his team of Ministers for their invaluable contribution towards the growth and development of the nation.
