NPP only best at criticizing – Alidu Haruna

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma Central, Alidu Haruna has slammed members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for always criticizing whatever government does without offering necessary and reasonable alternatives.

To him, the posture of the opposition NPP clearly shows how bad they would “degrade our economy when elected into power,” because they have no solutions to the issues

“I am not worried when the largest opposition party is always on the neck of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) speaking against its projects towards good economic governance, but what worries me most is their habit of not giving any solution of the subject matter they have bitterly spoken against,” he said.

He continued “Usually I see this habit of theirs as a yardstick to rubbish the good deeds of the current government paving way for them just to win the up-coming polls, and not to help the current government solve the problems they have spoken against. This behavior they put-up shows how worse they would degrade our economy when elected into power, because they have no solutions to the issues they make soo much noise about.”

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ Tuesday, on the Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper’s Supplementary Budget read in Parliament on Monday, Alidu Haruna stressed that the 2016 Budget Review was an appropriate means for government to let the House know the current state of the economy and estimates and projections for the year ahead.

“Our economy is how it is because government could not attain its estimated funds, therefore allegations made by the NPP against the budget read shows they don’t understand the process of governance,” he told Lawyer Tweneboah Koduah, host of the show.
