NPP must eschew complacency -Kennedy Agyepong

Honourable Kennedy Agyepong, Member of Parliament for Assin in the Central Region of Ghana, has urged members, supporters and sympathizers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to eschew complacency in the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections, emphasising that “complacency would ruin the party’s fortunes”.
Although, he observed, Ghanaians have gone through a lot of traumatic experiences, it does not necessarily give the NPP the upper hand over the other political parties, more importantly the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Hon. Agyepong, who is on a private visit to Canada, was addressing a three-member executive committee of the NPP Toronto Chapter.
“We must exhibit seriousness when dealing with the cross-section of Ghanaians,” he added. Hon. Agyepong appealed to Ghanaians, their family members and friends in Diaspora to contribute in diverse ways to win the elections in 2016.
Hon. Agyepong told the Toronto Chapter Executive not to relent but to pursue aggressively Ghanaians everywhere to win their votes because the win to serve the people depends on them.
He said the Diaspora Chapters and Branches can donate vehicles and other campaign materials to boost the win. According to the Honourable, the NPP hierarchy is listening very carefully to every suggestion because there is no point leaving any stone unturned.
At the meeting with Hon. Agyepong were the Vice-Chairman A. Barning, Financial Secretary/Treasurer Joe Opoku-Ware and Women’s Organizer Victoria Owusu-Ansah.
The Vice-Chairman thanked Honourable for throwing light on many issues we were ignorant about, adding next time the Chapter extends invitation to him, he would not hesitate to accept and come.
