NPP moves to consolidate gains for Election 2008

Accra, Nov. 06, GNA – The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday outlined moves to consolidate gains from Election 2004 to serve as a launching pad for Election 2008 victory.

The move is aimed at empowering the strategic groups within the party tagged as Special Wings – regional and constituency youth and women’s organizers, female Members of Parliament, Representatives from TESCON, the Young Executives Forum and the NASARA club. A statement to the Ghana News Agency signed by Mr John Boadu, NPP National Youth Organiser said the above groups would hold a special tactical conference in Kumasi from November 16th to 18th to fine tune the marshal plan for mobilization.

Other dignitaries expected to attend the tactical conference include President John Agyekum Kufuor, National Executives, Ministers of State, all the Presidential Aspirants and District Chief Executives.
