NPP more media friendly than NDC – GJA boss

The liberal nature of the New Patriotic Party makes them more media friendly than the opposition National Democratic Congress, according to the President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Affail Monney.

Mr. Monney speaking on Starr Chat Wednesday said there is enough evidence to show that the NPP works better with the media than the previous NDC government.

“The liberal instincts of the NPP makes them more inclined to working with the media [better] and there is evidence to show. But we were blessed to have a President who was a member of the association, the former President Mahama is a member…in good standing of the association.

“But instinctively NPP are more media friendly than the NDC,” Mr. Monney told host of Starr Chat Bola Ray.

Mr. Monney who is seeking a second term in the upcoming GJA elections scheduled for March 31, 2017, stated that he believes he has achieved a lot during his tenure to win a second term in office.

According to him, enough measures will be put in place to ensure that the welfare of journalists are improved in the country.
