NPP man pleads on behalf of Delta Force members

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region is appealing to police to temper justice with mercy by allowing members of the Delta Force to apologise for attacking the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator and be discharged.

Thirteen persons have since been arrested and charged after the incident.

Police are still investigating the matter and will soon process those arrested for court.

Key personalities, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, have condemned the incident and have urged the police to enforce the law.

Alhaji Kwesi Yeboah, however, speaking in an interview with Class News on Monday, April 3, said the court should let the Delta Force members apologise and sign a bond of good behaviour.

“Left to me alone, I’ll say let bygones be bygones. They made a mistake but this is their first time so they can be forgiven and be made to sign a bond,” he indicated.
