NPP making “emotional” appointments – Michael Ampong

A former Deputy Communications Director of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Michael Ampong, says the party has been “emotional” with the appointment of its new communications directors.

The NPP on Thursday reappointed its former communications director, Nana Akomea, to lead the party’s communications ahead of the 2016 elections.

He is supported by a former National Youth Organiser, Anthony Karbo and the beleaguered acting communications director of the party, Perry Okudzeto.

Speaking to Adom FM, Friday, Ampong said the party needs to be “real” about its challenges and appoint people who have the capacity to the serve the NPP.

“The NPP appears to be emotional in the appointments in my view. It appears there are efforts to punish some of us because of some perceived association with some personalities in the past”.

“I’m not bothered, but I think the party needs to be real with our challenges in order to address them properly,” he lamented.
