NPP leaders lack managerial skills – Nii Noi

The defeated NPP parliamentary aspirant for Klottey Korle, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey has accused the leadership of the party of lacking managerial skills.

According to him, the rancor that has afflicted the party in the constituency could have been avoided if the leaders had resorted to proper management skills.

Declaring his intention to go independent in the November polls Wednesday, the former constituency chairman of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition insisted that he stands a greater chance of winning the seat than all his competitors.

“I have arrived at the decision, which resonates with the masses, to declare that I, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey, shall contest as parliamentary candidate in the 2016 parliamentary election in Klottey Korle constituency.

“It’s regrettable that I have had to take this decision and I want to announce that I am not looking back. It’s forward ever. Our party itself, most of the leaders up there lack managerial skills. If not, these problems would have been resolved after the first elections. Addison claims he has the support of the flagbearer but I believe the people of Klottey Korle believe in me…I am for the people of Klottey Korley and not any political party,” he stated.

Nii Noi who had won an earlier parliamentary primary in the constituency lost marginally to lawyer Philip Addison in a re-run contest after a long legal tussle.

He garnered 367 votes as against Philip Addison’s 396.
