NPP Launches Election Campaign In Europe

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will officially launch its European Campaign for the December 7 elections with mammoth rally and a fund raising dance on Saturday 15 September in the German city of Koln.

The event marks the beginning of an intensive Europe-wide electioneering program that will be attended by party faithfuls from almost all the 27member states of the European Union and will be addressed by senior party officials from Ghana and other parts of the world.

According to party managers 20 Branches from other countries and 30 chapters from Germany have indicated their intention to attend this ‘gargantuan’ rally which is expected to be the largest gathering of NPP supporters in diaspora. Mr Charles Ankamah, Deputy General Secretary –NPP Germany, noted that although the main object is to raise funds, the party would use that occasion to explain its vision, programs and policies as contained in the manifesto to Ghanaians across the world.

He disclosed that similar events would be organized not just in Germany but across the length and breadth of Europe to mobilize support for the party with the view to ensuring victory in the December 7 polls adding ‘Ghanaians need to hear our message of hope as well as the competent and visionary leadership that Nana Akuffo-Addo will provide when elected to lead our country`.

Mr Ankamah pointed out that unlike the mediocre leadership being demonstrated by the NDC, Nana Akuffo-Addo remains the most experienced political leader with the competence, commitment and honesty required to rescue Ghana from the current economic crisis that have arisen from mismanagement and unprecedented corruption.

The program takes place at the Deutsche-Italienische Gesamptschule, Gladbacher Wall 5, 50670, Koln starting from 6 pm and would be interspersed with live music, acrobatic displays, raffle draw, food fair and other exciting activities.
