NPP ladies clean-up Akwatia

Akwatia, July 16, GNA – The Patriotic Ladies Club of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), on Saturday undertook a four-hour clean-up exercise of the Akwatia Township.

The women, numbering more than 200, cleared various parts of the town of filth.

Areas tidied up included the durbar grounds and the Akwatia old market.

Mrs Ama Sey, Akwatia Constituency Women’s Organizer, told the press after the exercise that it would be held periodically.

She said it was the humble contribution of the club to clear the town of garbage and other factors that contributed to diseases like malaria, typhoid fever and cholera.
