NPP is ‘ideologically bankrupt’ – APC

The All People’s Congress [APC] has served notice it will sue the New Patriotic Party [NPP] for plagiarising its 2016 election manifesto, which was launched last Thursday.

According to the Hassan Ayariga founded APC, the content of the NPP 2016 election manifesto, which was unveiled Sunday afternoon in Accra, is replete with what is contained in the APC’s manifesto.

Hours after the APC launched its manifesto Thursday, some NPP officials accused Dr Ayariga of having stolen verbatim, their yet to be launched manifesto; a claim the APC rubbished last Saturday.

But few hours after the NPP also launched its manifesto Sunday afternoon, General Secretary of the APC, Razak Kojo Opoku, issued a statement claiming the NPP has demonstrated it is “ideologically bankrupt”.

He said the APC would sue the “New Patriotic Party for clear thievery of our 2016 Manifesto which was launched on Thursday, 6th October, 2016…The NPP leadership has exhibited highly gross academic dishonesty”.

Mr Opoku added: “In fact the now Kalyppo People’s Party is a political group of KalypoIncompetence and academic idiocy”.
