NPP is afraid when Tsatsu speaks – Essamuah

A member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team, Kakra Essamuah, has jumped to the defence of Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata who has been satirized for accusing a Supreme Court judge of bias.

Though many have condemned Mr. Tsikata’s utterances, the NDC communicator believes that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) clamor to the accusation is as a result of fear they have in Mr Tsikata.

Kakra Essamuah was reacting to an earlier statement by the NPP’s Communication Director, Nana Akomea, that Lawyer Tsikata instead of accusing Justice Anin-Yeboah of his consistently ruling against the NDC in the just ended Ppesidential election petition, should rather be grateful to former President Kufuor for granting him amnesty whiles serving a jail sentence.

Mr. Tsikata claimed Justice Anin-Yeboah throughout the hearing of the election petition allowed his allegiance to former President Kufuor who appointed him to the Supreme Court, to cloud his judgement.

But speaking on Asempa FM, Kakra Essamuah questioned why ex-President Kufuor granted Mr. Tsikata the presidential pardon. Adding that, the NPP is afraid of Mr. Tsikata.

“The NPP is afraid of Mr. Tsikata, everything he will say then the NPP will start screaming like yapping dogs…yes they (NPP) are afraid of him,” he yelled.
