NPP has cause to celebrate – Organiser

Mr Kodzo Kenneth Ayim, Volta Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), said the party had cause to celebrate its 21 years of existence.

He said the fact that the party had been able to attain its current stature from a humble beginning in 1992 was a good enough reason to celebrate.

Mr Ayim said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency during a flag raising ceremony at the party’s regional office in Ho to mark its 21st anniversary.

Mr Ayim said the National Health Insurance Scheme, School Feeding Programme, Free Maternal Care, Zoomlion, National Youth Employment Programme and several such social intervention programmes were some of the major footprints of the NPP government.

He said while in government, the NPP was able to establish and consolidate the respect for the rule of law and press freedom, security and healthy economy.

He said the doors of the NPP were opened to everybody in the Volta Region and urged the media to feel free to interact with party members who had a better grasp of political issues.
