NPP has a Solid Record of Manufacturing “Fake” Electoral Figures

National Organizer for the National Democratic Congress, Yaw Boateng Gyan, has alleged on Okay FM’s morning show program that the NPP’s penchant for manufacturing “fake” electoral figures cannot be written off because of their pedigree.

Mr. Gyan disclosed that it was cynical to hear the leaders of the NPP claim that they have pink sheets to buttress their petition in court that the NDC rigged the 2012 presidential elections.

He has therefore thrown a challenge to the NPP to present genuine recorded figures and not the “fake” ones which puts them in the lead if they want the world to believe they were robbed in the elections.

“All the results have been recorded on paper but they keep drumming into our ears that ‘we have pink sheets’ but I want to inform them that we also have some of the sheets…we all have different ways of looking at the same thing but I can tell you that though we are all looking at the same thing, they are reporting things which have nothing to do with what we are all looking at,” he said.

“We know the plot of the NPP; they are waiting to pounce on the NDC and the Electoral Commission of Ghana should we provide results that tally and is different from theirs. I want to plead with them to put a stop to manufacturing fake results because I know they are capable of and have that pedigree”, he alleged.

Pressed further by the host of the programme to shed more light on the wild allegation, Yaw Boateng Gyan was quick to say that “oh come on, don’t behave like you don’t reside in this country…in 2008 what didn’t we see in this country? We all saw in the African Elections movie how their agents behaved in the EC’s strong room.”

Wrapping up, Yaw Gyan urged the leaders of the NPP to tell their supporters the truth and stop raising their hopes with falsehood.
