NPP gurus predict landslide win for Nana Akufo-Addo

Four leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have predicted a landslide win for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the December 7 election.

They are Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin North, Mr. Asamoah-Boateng, former Minister of Information, Mr. Boniface Saddiqq, former Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, and Mr. Samuel Awuku, Deputy National Communication Director.

They made the prediction at the official launch of the campaign of Mrs. Mavis Hawa Koomson, NPP parliamentary candidate for Awutu-Senya at Kasoa on Sunday.

According to them, “Ghanaians have tasted bitter life under the government during the four-year rule of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)”.

Mr. Asamoah-Boateng, the parliamentary candidate of Mfantseman West, said the living conditions of Ghanaians had worsened due to massive corruption and bribery on the part of NDC functionaries.

He therefore urged Ghanaians to reject the NDC and replace it with the NPP to restore their hope of living under better conditions.

Mr. Asamoah-Boateng said a government under Nana Akufo-Addo would ensure that the road from Kasoa to Cape Coast was made dual carriage to ease traffic congestion, as well as improving other roads in the country.

He said the pledge made by President John Dramani Mahama to the people of Cape Coast to construct the Kotokoraba market into a modern one was a sham.

Mr. Agyapong said there would be no hope for Ghanaian youth if they renew the mandate of NDC, adding that NDC government had mismanaged the wealth of the country to the disadvantage the people.

Mr. Awuku appealed to the people to step up their campaign and explain the good policies and programmes of the NPP to Ghanaians to enable them vote for the party.

He said the free Senior High School education would be possible and urged the youth to support the NPP and vote for Nana Akufo-Addo.

Mr. Boniface Saddiqq urged Zongo communities to rally behind NPP “because the NPP government has good programmes and policies for you”.

He said it would be unfortunate if the Zongo Communities refuse to vote for the NPP in the December 7 polls since they would enjoy a better government under Nana Akufo-Addo.
