NPP group in UK approves Alan Kyeremanten

Kairos Movement for Alan (KAMFA), a United Kingdom-based group within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the weekend rallied support for Mr Alan Kyerematen, a leading member of the NPP, to lead the party in the 2016 general election.

KAMFA is a pro NPP movement in the UK which believes in the ideals of Mr Kyeremanten.

“As the ruling National Democratic Congress'(NDC) is bent on retaining power come 2016 general elections, it will be very prudent for the NPP to present a candidate who is more appealing to the entire electorate to wrestle power from the John Mahama led government,” it said in a statement.

The statement said Mr Kyeremanten, who contested the party’s presidential primary twice and lost to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, “is a selfless individual with exceptional and unique professional experiences that are unrelated.”

The statement added that “for him to be nominated by Ghana for the post of WTO Director and his candidature to have received the backing of the African Union is a clear attestation of his versatility”.
