NPP government has made an impact – Gambila

Bolgatanga, Aug 9, GNA – Mr Boniface Gambila, the Upper East Regional Minister, has said the New Patriotic Party government had chalked a lot of successes since it assumed power. The Minister was speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region.

Mr Gambila stated that through the administration of the NPP government the capitation grant was introduced hence reducing the financial burden of parents who could not afford to pay their children school fees and most often even withdrew them from school. He said school enrolment had now increased tremendously and the government was trying to expand school infrastructure to absorb more pupils.

Another example, the Upper East Regional Minister cited as the achievement of the government was the introduction of the school-feeding programme.
