NPP functionary affirms intention to contest primaries

Kumasi, Oct 26, GNA – Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, a former Ashanti Regional Finance Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has affirmed his intention to contest the Subin Parliamentary Primaries of the party for the 2004 Genera Elections.

He made the declaration when he addressed a forum organised for the youth and a cross-section of residents in the Subin constituency, after a clean-up exercise initiated by Odeneho Appiah at the weekend in Kumasi.

They sweep the streets and desilted choked gutters in selected areas of the constituency.

Odeneho Appiah, the immediate past president of the Youth in Action in Kumasi, identified the lack of employment and quality education as major problems militating against the development of the constituency. He said when voted for in the 2004 Parliamentary Elections, he would initiate measures to train the youth to acquire employable skills and promote education in the area.

Odeneho Appiah urged the youth to support him to win the parliamentary primaries.
