NPP flagbearer aspirants wrap up campaign ahead of Sunday congress

The NPP is set to host a Super Delegates Conference on Sunday to trim down the number of flagbearer aspirants to five.

Currently seven people have filed to lead the party in the 2016 elections.

They are Nana Akufo-Addo, Alan Kyeremanten, Joe Ghartey, Addai Nimo, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Kofi Osei Ameyaw and Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku.

According to the party’s constitution, the number of people eligible to contest for the flagbearership should not exceed five.

This has necessitated the special delegates conference on Sunday.

The General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Agyapong has been speaking about the special delegates conference and the number of eligible voters.

Currently, the candidates are wrapping up their campaign for what has been termed, round one of the campaign.

Radio Ghana has been speaking to the two main contestants, Nana Addo and Alan Kyeremanten.
