NPP flag bearer calls on Yagbonwura

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer, Mr. J.A. Kufuor has paid a courtesy call on the Yagbonwura Bawa Doshie and congratulated him on his elevation as the overlord and president of the Gonja traditional council.

Mr Kofuor urged Yagbonwura Doshie to continue with the effort of his predecessor to heal the wounds of the northern ethnic conflict in the Gonja area.

The NPP flagbearer said he looks forward, in the next elections, to the mandate of Yagbonwura, the chiefs and people of Gonga for the NPP to solve the problems of the country.

The Yagnonwura assured Mr Kufuor of his commitment to restoring peace and unity in the area.

Accompanying Mr Kufuor were Dr. Kofi Apraku, M.P for Offinso North and the northern regional chairman of the party, Alhaji C.O.P. Salifu Abdul-Rahman.
