NPP Elect Officers At Kumawu

Kumawu (Ash), Aug. 18 Mr B. K. Adusei was at the weekend re-elected as chairman of the Kumawu constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at elections supervised by the Ashanti Regional Secretariat of the party at Kumawu at the weekend. He will hold the office for two years. Mr Opoku Boateng was elected secretary while Opanin Kwaku Brenya retained his post as the treasurer. Other officers elected are Mr B. D. Konadu, youth organiser, and Miss Vida Owusu, women’s organiser. In a short address after swearing in the new executive, Professor K. A. Britwum of the University of Science and Technology (UST) asked members and supporters of the party to unite and build a formidable party to win the next elections. He appealed to the youth to be law abiding since they are the future leaders upon whom the development of the country rests.
