NPP corrupted Ghanaians – Afotey Abgo

Some have said “corruption is as old as Adam,” but the Member of Parliament for Kpone-Katamanso constituency and Greater Accra Regional Minister claims that Ghanaians danced to the tune of corruption only when the New Patriotic Party took over.

Hon. Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo in an interview with the press at Ada revealed that he has been part of governance since the regime of ex-President Rawlings, and knows exactly how corruption blossomed when the NPP took over from the National Democratic Congress.

“Ghanaians became corrupt when another regime took over for eight years. People became corrupted; the top hierarchy of the military, police and every institution was corrupted so that they would toe the line of government,” he said.

Asked about how his government would deal with the situation, the NDC stalwart said they have placed an eagle eye on people who are siphoning monies and living expensive lifestyles at the expense of the tax payer and would punish them for the crimes.
