NPP constituency office burgled

Mampong (Ash), June 9, GNA- A 14-inch colour television was on Saturday stolen from the Asante-Mampong constituency office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Oheneba Kwasi Duruwah, constituency chairman of the party who told the Ghana News Agency at Mampong on Monday, said when he got to the office on Sunday afternoon, he found the television was missing. He said he and other party officials who had then reported for work started looking round for any clue and during a thorough examination of the padlock to the door, they found that it was different from the one used the previous day.

He said the incident was reported to the Asante-Mampong police. He said apart from the television nothing else was stolen. The Mampong police when contacted confirmed the story and said investigations continue and that no arrest had been made.
