NPP consoles family of the late Samuel Nuamah

The New Patriotic Party and its 2016 presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, have extended their “deepest condolences to the family of the late Samuel Nuamah, the Ghanaian Times journalist, who lost his life in the fatal accident of Thursday, August 20, involving members of the presidential press corps, who were returning from assignment in the Volta region.”

A statement signed by the party’s communications director Nana Akomea said: “Our hearts and thoughts also go out to the injured, some of whom are still on admission at the 37 Military Hospital. We pray for a speedy recovery for them.”

“The NPP urges members of the media fraternity, who have been shaken by this tragedy, to remain firm and continue to discharge their duties in service to God and Mother Ghana.

“The bonds that exist between them must be strengthened in these trying times in honour of their fallen compatriot.

“May the soul of Samuel Nuamah rest in perfect peace,” the statement added.
