Accra, April 10, GNA – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Thursday congratulated Mr. John Dramani Mahama, MP for Bole Bamboi, for his selection as running mate of Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the December vote. “The NPP wishes to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Hon. John Dramani Mahama, MP, on his selection as Prof. John Evans Atta Mills’ running mate. We welcome him to the democratic debate about the future of our country,” a statement signed by Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, NPP Campaign Manager, said.
It said the NPP believed that the outcome of the elections would be determined by the respective records of the NDC and the NPP in government as well as the competing visions of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the NPP flag bearer, and Prof. John Evans Atta Mills for the future of Ghana. “We are fully prepared for the contest. We reiterate our call to the NDC to join us in an issue-based contest that will make all Ghanaians proud,” the statement added.
