NPP Chairman Advises Members To Be Law-abiding

Agona Swedru (C/R), June 24, – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency chairman for Agona West, Mr Mohammed Adu, has advised constituency executives of the party to use laid down rules to remove their constituency leaders. Addressing an emergency party meeting at Agona Swedru yesterday, Mr Adu warned that any attempt to remove branch chairmen through dubious means would undermine the forward march of the party. He explained the constitution of the party to them and asked both the executive and floor members to respect the party’s constitution. Mr Adu called for co-operation and understanding among the rank and file, reminding them of the task ahead towards national development and the general elections to be held in the year 2000. On the forthcoming constituency executive elections, slated for August 17, this year, Mr Adu urged all those wishing to contest for the position of chairman to go through the right channel.
